Who is Jesus?
A Simple Solution to Man's Problem

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, take a minute to read this page. It contains the simple, yet life-changing truths, that if personally applied, will change your life forever.

If you have already accepted Christ into your heart, ensure that you can explain what it means to know Him to someone who doesn't, and are able to walk them through the following steps:

Man’s Problem – Separation

God created man in His own image and gave him abundant life. God gave him a will and freedom of choice.
Man chose to disobey God and make his own willful way. Man still makes this choice today. This results in separation from God.
The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Man tries to bridge his separation from God in many ways...

God’s Plan – Salvation

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16
(Jesus said)..."I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly." (Full and meaningful life). John 10:10
"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." John 3:36

Died on the cross
and bridged the gap

GOD

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me." John 14:6

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He substituted for our sin and bridged the separation of man from God...

He Lives Today

"...Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred...He appeared to James, then to all the apostles...He appeared to me also." 1 Corinthians 15:3-8

To Receive God’s Plan

1. Admit your problem: being separated from God by sin. Recognize that you have sinned and need God’s solution.
2. Believe Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross.
3. Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and He will give you salvation and guide your life.
4. Receive Him now as your personal Savior and Lord of your life.

In Romans 10:9 and 13, the Bible tells us "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved."

A Suggested Prayer to Receive Jesus Christ

Dear Lord and Savior,
I know that I have sinned against You and that I am not living within Your plan. For this I ask forgiveness. I believe that You died for me and in doing so, paid the penalty for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin and now ask You to come into my heart and life as personal Savior. Help me now, to follow and obey You as Lord and to find Your perfect will for my life.

If you prayed this prayer, you now have eternal life!

When you called upon the Lord, He listened. Your sins have all been forgiven (Colossians 1:14), you became a child of God (John 1:12) and you now have eternal life (John 3:16).
Do not be concerned with your feelings, for they may change sometimes under the pressure of daily life. Place your trust in your Heavenly Father "casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) Stay in daily contact with the Lord through prayer and the reading of His Word, the Bible. Join in fellowship with other believers so that you may strengthen one another.

What should I do now?

Attend a local Bible preaching and teaching Christian church that will help you grow in your Spiritual life with God. Tell your Pastor about your recent decision and get baptized. Get involved with a Bible study at your new Church and meet new Christian friends.

Read the Bible. You can start with the Gospel of John to learn more about Jesus Christ and the salvation you have received.

His Promise Fulfilled

"He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:12-13
